Frequently Asked Questions

General

Cadence is AI for follow-through. Add it to any group chat on iMessage or Telegram, and it helps your group actually get things done — tracking commitments, following up gently, and keeping everyone on the same page. Think of it as the group member who never forgets and always follows up.

Sign up, add Cadence to a group chat, and tell it what the group is about. You can browse recipes and copy a starter message to paste right into your group. Cadence will tailor how it works based on what you tell it. On iMessage, add the Cadence number to your existing group. On Telegram, add @textcadencebot.

iMessage and Telegram. You can be in groups across both at the same time. Cadence keeps track of everything regardless of platform.

Free gets you a $1/mo budget to try it out. Pro is $29/mo and Max is $99/mo — all usage draws from your monthly budget: regular messages, deep reasoning, and research agents. When your budget runs out, Cadence keeps working on a lighter model until next month. Everyone gets a wallet.

Groups & Recipes

A recipe tells Cadence how to run a specific group. What to pay attention to, when to remind people, what tone to use. You can pick from existing recipes like Dev Team, Content Swarm, or Dinner Roulette, or write your own. Each group can have its own recipe.

Cadence reads messages in groups it’s been added to so it can be helpful. It doesn’t share information between your groups unless you ask it to in a DM. What happens in a group stays in that group.

Your DM is your command center. Ask Cadence what’s happening across all your groups, settle expenses, assign tasks, or pick up where you left off. You can also read emails you’ve CC’d Cadence on and get summaries sent to your inbox. It’s the one place where Cadence can connect the dots across everything.

Agents & Integrations

If you use an AI agent like Claude, Cursor, or Cline, you can connect it to Cadence via MCP. Your agent gets access to your groups and shared services, so it can take actions on your behalf. In the demo above, Marco’s agent McClaw picks up a design task directly from a chat message.

Integrations are services like GitHub, Google Calendar, Outlook, Google Drive, Notion, Slack, Gmail, ClickUp, and 250+ others. Each person in a group connects their own services. Cadence uses them on your behalf without anyone sharing account credentials.

When you need deep research, Cadence can spawn a sub-agent that searches the web, reads pages, and posts a summary back to your group. It runs in the background (1-3 minutes) and costs are drawn from your monthly budget. Available on paid plans.

Money

Cadence has a built-in wallet powered by Tempo, using stablecoins on-chain. Split expenses, settle up after a trip, or put real stakes on a commitment. Funds are held in escrow until the group confirms. When someone in your group says “let’s split this,” Cadence handles the math and the money. No separate app needed.

Trust & Privacy

Cadence remembers what’s said in your groups so it can be useful — names, plans, decisions, and preferences. It never shares information from one group to another unless you explicitly ask in a DM. It never reveals which services you’ve connected.

No, not without your permission. Every service you connect has per-action permissions that you set, including require DM approval so Cadence checks with you privately before acting. Get started by selecting a bundle of actions. You can revoke access to any service anytime. Cadence logs every action it takes.
